Job purpose: Computer Frontiers Inc. is seeking an experienced contract manager who is familiar with USAID procurement and policies. This position will serve as a key manager for a global contract and will be the individual bearing primary responsibility for personnel, reporting, and other management-related requirements of the contract. The senior contract manager will work proactively with Computer Frontiers executive management and USAID’s identified representatives to ensure project compliance and desired impacts.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Expertise in managing and evaluating international programs; Responsible for coordination across SWIFT IV task orders including: mentoring, training, and guiding Contractor‘s task order staff; general management oversight on all Contractor task orders; and quality control and timeliness of all deliverables.
Excellence in written and oral communication skills; Responsible for the administration and management of the SWIFT IV IQC. The IQC Manager will submit required IQC-level technical and financial reporting as well as written and oral presentations on the transition program to USAID staff, OTI staff, and Contractor and others as directed.
Aptitude for working with staff in a variety of local and international organizations; Expected to work with USAID and the Contractor to resolve issues (across task orders or at an individual task order level) and share lessons learned and best practices to ensure the smooth operation of all administrative and management systems to support implementation of OTI activities to help local partners advance peace and democracy in countries in transition.
Proficiency in dealing with different styles and levels of management and people with various cultural backgrounds and education.
The position requires an individual with in-depth knowledge of working with a US government foreign affairs agency, international assistance organization, or non-governmental organization, in community development, economic development, mediation/arbitration, conflict resolution, democracy and governance, international law, human rights activities, and/or political analysis.
The right candidate will have: a minimum of six (6) years of recent project management with the US government; a minimum of two (2) years of overseas field experience working in one or more developing countries undergoing political instability; and a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience (including but not limited to mentoring, training, and guiding staff); outstanding project management skills; and the ability to drive development strategies through specific project teams.
